Grant Activity to Appointment

Workforce Development Action (July i, 2020–June 30, 2021)

Workforce Development provided training to 2,972 individuals. Training included industrial, concern/leadership, plastics, healthcare, computer, sustainability, and energy topics with a heavy focus on apprenticeship.

In June 2019, the U.S. Department of Labor awarded Pennsylvania College of Engineering science a $7,996,530 federal grant to scale Modular Manufacture-Driven Apprenticeship Strategies (MIDAS) in advanced manufacturing fields. By the terminate of the grant in 2024, 3,200 apprentices are expected to be trained.

The Plastics Innovation & Resources Eye (PIRC) completed 21 research and development projects with xvi companies.
